Minecraft is a phenomenal sandbox title. Based on creativity and imagination, Minecraft spawns you into a 3D unrestricted blocky world. Create what you want, explore where you want, build machines from redstone, mine and craft items needed for the building you want to build.
Released in November 2011 after two years of development By Markus "Notch" Persson, and later Mojang. Initially released as an alpha in May 2009, subsequently being released as a beta in December 2010.
There are two modes to choose from, namely creative and survival modes. The former allowing you to build with an unlimited number of blocks without being pestered by pesky mobs. Survival is an adventure, you start off with nothing but your firsts, you have to mine and harvest resources in order to survive your first night.
